Adverbs tell you more about a verb. They add to a verb.
Read this sentence:
- The girl slowly walked to school.
How did the girl walk to school? She walked slowly.
Slowly is the adverb because it tells you about the verb.
Now read this sentence:
- The boy talked loudly in the classroom.
How did the boy talk?
