For the past four years, Ming Tsow has initiated an annual conference on various issues related to the introduction of modern foreign languages in primary schools at the School of Education, King's College, London. Professor Eric Hawkins was the first speaker. His support and continuing interest since the 1960's have been most encouraging. The yearly conferences have also gained a regular following among the teachers who have contributed significantly to the quality of discussion and exchange of ideas.
February 1996 sees the fifth annual event and will be organised under the auspices of the independent language forum Bilingualism and Languages Network. There will be an update and overview as well as presentations from teachers and a resource exhibition.
